Autograph Collection Hotels, a brand under Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has debuted its first Croatian property, The Isolano, Cres, Autograph Collection. The hotel, located within a pine grove overlooking the Adriatic Sea, will welcome guests from March 13, 2025.
The Isolano is designed for discerning travelers aged 12 and above. It features 49 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant with sea views, two outdoor heated pools, wellness facilities, and direct beach access. This marks the first time Autograph Collection Hotels has expanded into Croatia.
The interior design of the hotel, conceived by Kristina Zanic, reflects the essence of Mediterranean living. The hotel’s architecture incorporates locally sourced stone from Brac Island and harmonizes with the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation. The color scheme mirrors the serenity of the coastline, featuring shades of white, grey, sand, navy, and cognac. Local fabrics and artworks have been incorporated into the interior design, enhancing the connection to the island’s culture and heritage.
All guest rooms and suites have private balconies with panoramic sea views. They are equipped with amenities, including smart TVs, automated lighting and temperature controls, and Mobile Key check-in via the Marriott Bonvoy app. Five rooms also offer direct access to the outdoor heated swimming pools.
The hotel’s dining experiences respect the culinary heritage of the Adriatic. Guests are welcomed with a drink made from locally sourced sage, and the bar offers cocktails featuring Croatian brandy rakija. Chef Aleksandar Kerekes, known for his commitment to locally sourced ingredients, leads the dining experience at Restaurant Moise, which emphasizes local traditions and sustainability.
The wellness area includes a luxurious spa and a state-of-the-art gym. Spa treatments incorporate local ingredients with curative benefits, such as honey and endemic plant species.
The Isolano offers guests a unique experience, including an island-inspired mixology workshop in the lobby bar where they can create their own botanical blend.
Cres Island is situated in the northern Adriatic Sea of Croatia, surrounded by natural beauty and historic towns. The Isolano is just a 10-minute walk from Cres Town, which boasts medieval charm and heritage landmarks. The nearest airport is Rijeka Airport on the island of Krk, accessible by a 20-minute ferry ride or a 90-minute car drive.
