Four Seasons Resort Nevis has appointed Avi Phookan as the new General Manager, effective immediately.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis has announced the appointment of Avi Phookan as its new General Manager. Phookan, who previously served as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii, brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role.

In his previous position at Four Seasons Resort Lanai, Phookan led initiatives that enhanced guest experiences and implemented several environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs. These efforts included achieving the Maui Nui Marine Resource Council Gold Award for Reef Safe Landscaping and obtaining EarthCheck Certification.

Phookan’s career in hospitality has included leadership roles in various international locations such as Dubai, Doha, New Orleans, Charleston, and Belize. He has also worked in the Caribbean, holding positions at The Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman and the St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort. Phookan joined Four Seasons as a Resort Manager in Lanai before being promoted to General Manager in 2023.

In his new position at Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Phookan will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations. His responsibilities will include managing guest services, accommodations, culinary programming, spa and wellness offerings, and sustainability efforts.
