DC and Marvel kicked off the summer by announcing the publishers would join forces in publishing two crossover one-shots this fall. In June, Marvel revealed details about the enticing backup stories in Deadpool/Batman #1, releasing Sept. 17. On Thursday, DC did the same, showcasing nearly 20 gorgeous variant covers pairing up heroes (and a couple villains) from both publishers’ stable of characters.

DC’s book Batman/Deadpool #1 has a newly announced release date of Nov. 19. From writer Grant Morrison and artist Dan Mora (who also drew the main cover and a wraparound variant), the one-shot will find the stoic Batman and fourth-wall-breaking Deadpool teaming up as they “confront a threat that doesn’t just endanger their worlds—it questions their very existence as fictional constructs,” according to a news release. Expect it to get very metatextual as it “weaponizes its comic bookiness.”

Like with Marvel’s September Deadpool/Batman #1, the creative teams tackling the backup stories are top-notch. DC veterans Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson will collaborate with Hayden Sherman on a Constantine and Doctor Strange occult story. Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner stage another primetime Hulk bout, this time pitting the big green monster against Harley Quinn. (Going by the variant cover, I really hope their showdown is a hot dog eating contest.)

G. Willow Wilson pairs her co-creation Ms. Marvel with Static, who will also be crossing over with Batman Beyond in November, alongside Milestone Media co-founder Denys Cowan. Last but not least, Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo reunite off of their Eisner Award-winning Nightwing run for an “emotionally-charged” story between Nightwing and Laura Kinney/Wolverine, whom Taylor also wrote in the 2010s.

Take a look at the fantastic variant covers below. The main cover will go for $7.99, while the cardstock variants and a foil version of Mora’s main will retail for $8.99.
