Daytime icon Karla Mosley may be known now for playing Dani Dupree on the hit CBS soap opera Beyond the Gates, but the actress has taken to social media to remember a role that made her an international household name.
Mosley took to social media and posted photos of her time on The Bold and the Beautiful reflecting on her journey and sharing some memories with her fans. Sharing on Instagram the actress said, “My friend @holly (check out her AMAZING new pod, btw) sent me this picture last week. I didn’t know that just a few days later @boldandbeautifulcbs would be saying goodbye to it’s home at the historic Television City to moving to a new Hollywood location.
It made me think back to all the memories I have from working in that studio – where The Carol Burnett Show, The Cher Show, Good Times and All In The Family all recorded. If those walls could TALK! And there we were, sandwiched smack dab in between The Price Is Right and The Young and The Restless. What a dream!
From Brad Bell asking @lsaintvic and I to write a web series for the show and for CBS, to running down Rodeo Drive with @jacob_w_young, to Maya’s disclosure that she’s Trans (a first for a series regular on US TV), to her memorable wedding and the introduction of Avants – the first Black family on B&B (and, yes 80s babies, I have worked with nearly the entire cast of “Amen”). The memories are rich and this doesn’t even begin to touch them all.

Fans took to show their support, one saying, “I miss the Avants so much. I always remember a powerful scene between you and Anna Maria, when she first came on, when Vivian told Maya she prayed to all the angels in heaven to help her, Maya, but she failed as a mother. Of course, we knew that wasn’t true, but it felt so realistic. I loved that she came around and accepted Maya.” A second shared, “You’re making me miss Maya sm. I loved her wedding to Rick. I bet you have so many memories from that time in your life” With a third adding, “ I thought you were phenomenal on B&B and played that character very well. But now you’ve taken it to another level on BTG. 💯💯💯💯🙏🏽”
