Legendary singer Pat Boone is paying tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk following the shocking news of Kirk’s death. The 31-year-old political influencer was shot and killed while holding a panel discussion with students at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10.

Boone, 91, shared a moving message on Instagram, where he compared Kirk to apostles Peter, James and John, praising his courage, faith and message.

“Charlie Kirk was, and will always be, an Apostle, just like Peter, James and John in the Bible…a messenger with a vital, soul-shaping and life-saving message,” Boone wrote.
