The DTIR 30-06 is one of two new weapons introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Season 6, the final new season before the launch of Black Ops 6. Taking advantage of this fully automatic cannon requires some specific attachments, though, with our best DTIR loadout in Modern Warfare 3.

The DTIR has quickly soared towards the top of the list of the best-performing battle rifles in Modern Warfare 3 because it’s a solid all-rounder with manageable recoil. However, to enhance its performance at range and ensure you can pick enemies off with enough damage range, you need the right attachments.

Here’s the best DTIR 30-06 loadout in Modern Warfare 3 Season 6, how to unlock the gun in the first place, and the best class to use alongside it.

How to unlock the DTIR 30-06 in Modern Warfare 3

To unlock the DTIR 30-06 in the Modern Warfare 3 battle pass, you must reach cell six on the map. The quickest path is through cells 1-2-4-6, ensuring you complete each one to unlock the next. You don’t need to buy the battle pass though because as always, new weapons are free provided you have enough tokens.

Here is the best DTIR loadout in Modern Warfare 3:

  • Muzzle: STER45 Skyfury Compensator
  • Barrel: EXTND-10 Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple
  • Rear Grip: Hotel-45 Grip
  • Optic: Monocle CT90

Straight out of the box, the DTIR is already a very solid battle rifle, so all you want to do with this build is flesh out its existing strengths. This essentially means making it even more accurate at range, with more damage to boot. The STER45 Skyfury Compensator is the best muzzle attachment to pick to buff the recoil considerably, while the EXTND-10 Long Barrel mainly focuses on the damage range, with bullet velocity and movement speed buffs alongside.

There are a number of options you could pick for your underbarrel attachment, but we’ve opted for the VX Pineapple because it buffs the recoil control, gun kick control, and aim walking steadiness. Both this and the EXTND-10 Long Barrel nerf your aim-down-sight speed, however, which can be important with a gun such as this, so go with the Hotel-45 Grip to negate some of that.

Finally, you’ll want an optical sight that allows you to pick enemies off at range but still doesn’t obscure your vision up close. The Monocle CT90 is a good choice, as it’s a red dot that still has significant zoom, but any holographic will do the job, or a 2.5x ACOG if you want a little extra.

Best DTIR 30-06 class in Modern Warfare 3

Here is the best DTIR class in Modern Warfare 3:

  • Vest: Overkill Vest
  • Secondary: Rival-9
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Lethal: Breacher Drone
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System
  • Gloves: Marksman Gloves
  • Boots: Stalker Boots
  • Gear: EOD Padding

Since the DTIR is firmly geared to fighting at long range, you need a secondary that can handle the fights up close, so for that purpose you’ll want to pick the Overkill Vest. This will allow you to take an SMG geared towards close quarters combat as your other weapon, and our pick for this is the Rival-9. Kit it out with attachments such as the Rival Vice Assault Grip and Rival IGS-800 Barrel for the best performance.

The rest of the class is fairly straightforward: the Flash Grenade is ideal to disorient foes when they are taking shots back at you while the Breacher Drone is more accurate than any form of grenade at range and can assist greatly with finishing enemies off. Taking a Trophy System as your field upgrade is the best choice to stop yourself from being picked off of your location with grenades.

The Marksman Gloves are by far the best shout in this slot because they mean you’ll stay on target when being shot at, while the Stalker Boots enable you to strafe and move while aiming down the sights a little faster. Finally, the EOD Padding is essentially a back up when you don’t have a Trophy System, to help you survive explosions. You could also opt for the Tac Mask in this slot if you’re struggling to deal with tactical grenades such as flashes and stuns instead of lethal ones.
