American romance author Abby Jimenez is known and beloved by readers for writing relatable and real characters who find themselves in utterly addicting love stories. Her seventh novel in the “Abbyverse” (a term her fans have coined for the universe in which her stories unfold) was the 2025 slow-burn, grumpy/sunshine romance, Say You’ll Remember Me. Say You’ll Remember Me is also the first in her trilogy series of the same name and universe.

Jimenez was inspired to writeSay You’ll Remember Me in part by a viral video and her desire to write a love story centering a vet. Taylor Swift’s song “Wildest Dreams” serves as the inspiration for not only the title, but also the novel’s star-crossed lovers who fall victim to right person, wrong time.

Say You’ll Remember Me was a massive success and topped the New York Times bestseller list upon publication in 2025. It spent four weeks on the list. The book also went on to be a Publishers’ Weekly number one bestseller.

Now, over a year later, the book is still immensely popular with readers. Goodreads listed the novel among its “Most Read Books this Year” in 2026. So far this year, readers have shelved the title more than 300,000 times on the reading platform.

Say You’ll Remember Mefollows Samantha Diaz, who meets veterinarian Xavier Rush when her kitten, Pooter, is in crisis. The pair go on a first date, which is truly the best date of either of their lives…and then Samantha is moving across the country to help out with her ailing mother. She begs Xavier to forget her, to remember their night as just one in a million, and to move on. But distance proves to be nothing, and the two can’t stop thinking about each other and the connection that just might be worth the risk.

The novel Say You’ll Remember Me was followed by the sequel, The Night We Met. A third book in the trilogy titled Feels Like Falling is slated for publication in 2027.

Say You’ll Remember Me and Jimenez’s other sultry, sweeping love stories are out now and available wherever books are sold.
