The day after Bindi Irwin‘s appendix suddenly burst, leading to an emergency appendectomy, sheshared a subtle update as she celebrated Mother’s Day.
On May 10, Bindi was supposed to attend the annual Steve Irwin Gala with her mother Terri and brother Robert, but due to her emergency health crisis, both Bindi and Terri missed the event.

While Robert said at the gala that Bindi was doing okay, Bindi’s recent social media update will likely leave fans feeling a little more assured that her recovery is going well.
The 26-year-old’s husband, Chandler Powell, shared a sweet tribute to Bindi in honor of Mother’s Day, writing alongside a photo of her and their daughter Grace, “Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful, extraordinary wife. I feel unbelievably lucky to spend my life married to you.”
“It’s incredible to see the strong, kind, amazing mama you are to our daughter. I’m grateful that she gets to grow up with you as her inspiration. We love you so much❤️,” the statement went on.
In the comments, Bindi wrote back, “Our family is my ENTIRE world. I love you so much. Thank you for being the greatest husband to me and dad to Grace. ❤️❤️❤️.” She also re-shared the post in her Instagram Stories, celebrating the special day.
While the timeline of events is not confirmed, Bindi’s comment appears to have been made in the time after her appendix burst and she went for surgery. Soon after her daughter commented on the post, Terri also wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day sweet Bindi.💕.”
