Gossip Girl just marked the 18th anniversary of its 2007 premiere and Blake Lively is celebrating the milestone in a special way.
The actress, who infamously portrayed Serena van der Woodsen on the show, just shared rare throwback photos from the set — including some pictures that Lively’s own friends had never seen!
The slideshow included snapshots of many of her castmates including Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford and even the late Michelle Trachtenberg. The photos documented everything from moments in the makeup chair to nights out bowling with the cast.

“The summer Gossip Girl turned 18…,” Lively captioned the images. “This show was my college. It was my education, my social life, my hard work, my late nights and early mornings, my teacher.”
She continued, “New York City and Silvercup Studios (& sometimes Paris ✨) was my campus for SIX years. So many memories. What. A. Decade. 💖 What a University.”
In the comments, Lively’s longtime pal AngieNiles explained that they teamed up with hairstylist Jennifer Johnson and makeup artist Amy Tagliamonti to “deep dive” through “old phones and hard drives” to find all of the rare photos.
“I REMEMBER THIS NIGHT. Where are you finding these?” actor Justin Johnston commented, who was friends with the cast and appeared in the snaps. “Had no idea that some of these nights were even documented..,,, I’m so nervous 🤣”
Lively’s co-stars haven’t yet commented on the behind-the-scenes photos so only time will tell what they thought about reliving the memories.
And although they haven’t spoken out about the anniversary, Meester and co-star Kelly Rutherford just had a mini Gossip Girl reunion during Paris Fashion Week. In a video shared on X, the pair could be seen catching up while sitting side-by-side at a show.
