Boost in Amsterdam Hotel Performance in April 2025 Linked to Series of Events

  • A series of events in Amsterdam, including multiple Usher concerts and the International Amsterdam Motor Show, significantly boosted hotel performance in April 2025.
  • Preliminary data from CoStar show an increase in occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR) for Amsterdam hotels year over year.

According to preliminary data from CoStar, a prominent platform for real estate marketplaces, data, and analytics, the hotel industry in Amsterdam experienced a notable uplift in performance in April 2025. This improvement can be attributed to a series of events in the city, including multiple concerts by American singer Usher.

The April statistics show an increase in occupancy by 4.8% to 85.0%, a 2.0% rise in the average daily rate (ADR) to EUR 210.87, and a 6.9% hike in revenue per available room (RevPAR) to EUR 179.32 compared to the same period last year.

The highest ADR and RevPAR rates for the month were recorded on Saturday, 19 April, with values of EUR 266.36 and EUR 249.29, respectively. This coincided with the third night of the International Amsterdam Motor Show (IAMS) and the DGTL Amsterdam event. The night’s occupancy rate stood at 93.6%, matching the highest recorded in the market since September 2024.

The high occupancy rate on 8 April was due to the first day of ReMaTec, a remanufacturing trade show, and the Amsterdam Drone Week.

In addition to these events, the city hosted five concerts by Usher, significantly contributing to the hotel industry’s performance. Occupancy rose above 80% on each of these nights, with the ADR and RevPAR reaching peaks of EUR 258.96 and EUR 226.66, respectively, on Wednesday, 26 April.
