The Omni Parker House, a historic hotel in downtown Boston, is undergoing a significant renovation that aims to preserve its legacy while enhancing the guest experience. The renovation project, which is expected to be completed by summer 2025, encompasses updates to all 551 guest rooms, 23,000 square feet of meeting and function space, and the hotel’s lobby.

According to John Murtha, Omni Parker House’s general manager, the hotel holds a significant place in the city’s history and is deeply connected to both locals and travelers around the world. The renovation project aims to ensure that the hotel remains a vibrant centerpiece of Boston for future generations.

The revamped hotel’s design draws inspiration from its rich 19th-century heritage, paying tribute to the golden age of travel. The lobby will feature new marble flooring, bespoke furnishings, and custom carpets adorned with the Parker House crest, setting a tone of refined sophistication. The upgraded guest rooms feature redesigned bathrooms with marble surfaces, walk-in showers, and carefully chosen amenities.

A key highlight of the renovation project is the transformation of the Premier Suites into “Legend Suites.” These suites are uniquely designed to honor some of Boston’s most revered figures, institutions, and landmarks. Notable suites include the Harvey Parker Presidential Suite and the Freedom Trail Family Suite, offering guests an authentic experience that encapsulates the essence of Boston.

The Omni Parker House’s 19 meeting rooms are undergoing a complete transformation. Notable spaces include the Dickens Room, now a sophisticated executive boardroom, and the Rooftop Ballroom, a sought-after venue for weddings, social gatherings, and political events.
