Bridgerton fans have lots to look forward to, as Netflix has Season 4 coming in 2026 and has already renewed the series for two additional seasons. Jonathan Bailey, who plays Lord Anthony Bridgerton, recently reassured fans he isn’t bailing on the series to go anywhere else anytime soon.

Bailey talked with The Hollywood Reporter about not only Bridgerton but also his roles in Wicked and the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth. He comes from a theater background and returned to the stage after filming the second season of Bridgerton. The audience was filled with new fans of his, and his profile is rising even higher with his movie roles.

Despite building a massive fan base, which might allow him to leave Bridgerton for movies, Bailey says he’s sticking with the Netflix series. “I’ve never been someone who’s like, ‘Thanks, bye.’ It’s not in my nature,” he shared.

There may come a time when filming Bridgerton conflicts with other projects, or when his character isn’t in the mix of things, he acknowledged.

Until then, however, Bailey shared, “I look forward to, in another however many years, when we’ve done the eighth season, to sit around and be like, ‘Look what we all did together.'”

Bridgerton fans were thrilled to hear that Bailey has no plans to leave the series. Some took to Reddit to express their enthusiasm.

“I hope he’s not missing from any season but I get it, and the production’s always worked around everyone’s schedules so I can’t see him not having a couple of weeks to squeeze [in] during an 8-9 month shoot,” one Reddit user shared.

Another Redditor concurred, “Even a few short appearances would be welcome!”

Fans also swooned over Bailey’s photo shoot with The Hollywood Reporter on Instagram and Reddit.

“He’s always been a star but now he’s getting his due. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy,” one fan gushed on Instagram.

“How effortlessly good looking he is 🔥🔥😍And truly a gem of human being ❤️ Would love to see him in more movies,” commented another fan on Instagram.

“No limits for this amazingly talented actor and human. In a world full of fake everything, he’s refreshingly genuine and lovely,” someone else wrote.
