Moulin Rouge! The Musical is coming to Edmonton for a spectacular Broadway performance.
Broadway Across Canada is the leading Broadway production company in Canada, touring across the country and putting on unforgettable shows. It’s everything glitz and glamour, along with fantastic singing, dancing, and acting. This show will sweep you off your feet, so don’t miss out on the few days it’s here this January.
What to expect
Baz Luhrmann’s film Moulin Rouge comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up. For those who aren’t familiar with the show Moulin Rouge, let me give you a quick rundown.
Enter a world of splendour and romance, as this is a world where Bohemians and aristocrats rub elbows and revel in electrifying enchantment. An English poet, Christian, falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, the cabaret actress and courtesan Satine. The musical and show follow them along in their enchanting love story.
It’s the ultimate romantic tale you would never want to miss.
Broadway Across Canada also notes the production is grand and spectacular, with the musical containing some mature themes, revealing costumes and adult language. At the same time, it uses flashing lights, strobe lighting, fog, and the appearance of firearms onstage; thus, this production is recommended for ages 12 and above.
Tickets are available now, starting at $61, and there are loads still available for each and every showing. Speaking of— the musical is only in Edmonton from Jan. 13 to Jan. 18, so don’t wait too late!
As for other shows Broadway Across Canada is putting on in Edmonton, you can see Les Misérables in March, Mamma Mia! in May, and Clue in July. It’s musical season, so don’t be afraid to get those tickets and enjoy the show!
