Bud Light and Traeger Grills are teaming up to offer NFL fans a truly unique tailgating experience.
The outdoor cooking titan and iconic beer brand make for pretty natural partners (think of all the beer-braised recipes), but this new partnership set out to dream up the “ultimate” tailgate, so unless you follow Traeger or Bud Light on social media, you probably would have never seen this collaboration coming.
Should you follow the brands on social media, you may have gotten a sneak peek over the weekend, when Traeger teased the partnership with a cryptic post on Instagram. Alongside a close-up image showing only its branding on a cobalt-blue appliance, the brand joked: “Hey @BudLight, we’ve got something cooking…”
And now, we finally have all the details. Parade can exclusively confirm that the Anheuser-Busch brand of light beer partnered with Traeger Grills to design and create what’s been dubbed the “Traegerator.”
What is the Traegerator?
The Traegerator is basically the grill that does everything except flip the meat and act as your personal chef. It’s a first-of-its-kind keg-meets-grill machine that “truly does it all,” from keeping your Bud Light ice-cold to smokin’ the hottest meals, while keeping your playlist vibing all tailgate long thanks to the built-in beer tap, blazing hot grill, and attached speakers.

Bud Light and Traeger are so certain that it will make game day “even more epic” that the custom build is debuting with its own jingle and ’90s-style infomercial parody featuring two highly recognizable NFL stars: San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield.
“Bud Light and Traeger Grills have long been staples of the tailgate experience, making it a no brainer to join forces and create a device that makes tailgating even easier for our fans to enjoy as part of our Grill Like A Pro campaign,” Todd Allen, SVP of marketing for Bud Light at Anheuser-Busch, shared in a statement. “It was a blast working with our partners George and Baker to bring the Traegerator to life and we know fans will be singing that catchy tune while firing up the grill all season long.”
Is the Traegerator Real?
Yes, and believe it or not, just like the “toolbar” Anheuser-Busch previously developed for Natty Light, the Traegerator could be yours.
“At Traeger, we’re all about bringing people together and creating unforgettable moments – and the Traegerator takes that to the next level,” Hjalmar Hedman, Traeger Grills VP of brand, added. “We all know that BBQ and beer go hand in hand, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with Bud Light in bringing this project to life.”
To enter, fans must be at least 21 and comment “#Traegerator and #Sweepstakes” on Bud Light’s dedicated giveaway post on Instagram for a chance to win their own private tailgate with the Traegerator this football season.
We’re also told that fans can expect “more fun to come throughout the season.” What exactly that could entail is unknown, but it might be tough to beat a sweepstakes like this.
