With a chill in the air, there’s no better time to visit one of Canada’s steamy destinations and the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs in Whitehorse, Yukon is among the most magical.

What to expect

Located in the stunning northern territory, this picturesque destination offers relaxation, and depending on the aurora forecast, a memorable experience under the northern lights, which you can enjoy while in the water.

Surrounded by towering trees, Eclipse features saunas, steam rooms, meditation solariums, a hibernation area, and four rock pools – which “call to those seeking an extraordinary journey into their personal health and wellness.”

“The magic of the Eclipse Experience is organic: the beautiful and natural design of the facilities, the genuine warmth of the welcome you will receive, and the feeling of connection with the wilderness are all inspired by the healing energies of the hot springs,” they explain.

“This is a place to spend meaningful time in peaceful solitude or with adult friends/family while honouring your body, mind, and spirit. Welcome – many delightful experiences and treasures await you here.”

In addition to getting some R&R, guests are also encouraged to take part in their famously hilarious Hair Freezing Contest, which once held the world record for being the largest of its kind.
