Love taking in B.C.’s natural beauty from above? You can take your outdoor adventures to new heights at Golden Skybridge, AKA Canada’s highest suspension bridge, which reopens for the season sooner than you might think!

Known for its breathtaking scenery in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Golden is a dream to visit any time of year — whether you’re skiing at the world-class Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, embarking on a heli-ski tour, or exploring one of the six stunning national parks at its doorstep (Banff, Glacier, Jasper, Kootenay, Mount Revelstoke and Yoho).

And for those who enjoy taking in the views from a thrilling suspension bridge, Golden Skybridge is a must-visit. Sitting over 400 feet above an expansive canyon, the Skybridge consists of two bridges offering unparalleled views of the Columbia Valley and the Rocky and Purcell mountains to those who walk amongst the treetops and clouds.

In addition to the bridges, visitors can take a thrilling ride through the forest aboard the Railrider Mountain Coaste (AKA Canada’s largest mountain coaster!), soar through the sky on a zipline, or even try their hand at axe throwing.

There are also three kilometres of scenic walking trails to roam at your leisure, a mini adventure park for families, and casual bites at an outdoor dining area.

“The bridges and walking trails at Golden Skybridge are perfect for all abilities,” says the Skybridge’s website. “If you’re looking to amp up the thrill factor, check out our zipline, ropes course, mountain coaster, and canyon swing.”
