Canadian Tire snowblowers recalled over electric shock hazard

Health Canada has issued an impacting recall 25,400 snow throwers Sold by Canadian Tire Stores and warns of electrical shock hazard.
The recall affects Yardworks 15-Amp Electric Corded Snowblower 22″ models sold between March 2019 and December 2021. Health Canada states that power cords become brittle when temperatures drop below -20 C and can break.
Several batches of snowblower already Recall in March 2022Health Canada on Tuesday expanded the list of batches affected by the recall.
As of February 10, Health Canada said there were “11 reported incidents involving brittle or damaged power cords,” but no injuries were reported.
Consumers are urged to stop using the affected product and return it to a Canadian tire store for a full refund.
