NCIS: Sydney will continue its stories from Down Under now that CBS has picked it up for its third season.

“This show, at its core, in my view it’s a police procedural obviously, but more subtly and maybe even more importantly, it’s a family drama and a workplace comedy,” showrunner and executive producer Morgan O’Neill told Parade. “It’s the combination of those three key elements that underpin the entire show.”

Are there any spoilers for Season 3 of NCIS: Sydney?

It’s too soon for spoilers; but O’Neill told us, “Like all good standalone dramas, we have managed to drop in little breadcrumbs across the season so that you start to see the edifice, sort of the exoskeleton of a larger conspiracy that we’re still trying to solve while we’re trying to deal with the problem that we have right in front of us. And as the season progresses, it becomes clearer, and the outline becomes more definitive. And then, the last couple of episodes of Season 2, we confront the boogeyman in real life.”

And Sagar told Parade, after filming the first two episodes of Season 3, Just from what I’m seeing already, we’ve just gotten bigger, more electric, more action packed and we really have upped it. It’s at such an early stage for us to see that, that it’s incredible because I know if the audiences have loved Season 1 and 2, then it’s just going to be incredible for them to see the journey that we’re going to go on with Season 3 because we’ve definitely gone bigger.”
