Celine Dion Unearths Live Performance of Iconic '90s Song: 'What an Era'

Celine Dion is brining her fans down memory lane!

To celebrate 35 years since the release of her 1990 album, UNISON, the powerhouse vocalist gave her fans a special surprise by releasing archival footage from a live performance of “Where Does My Heart Beat Now.”

Celine Dion Releases Live 1991 Performance of ‘Where Does My Heart Beat Now’

On Thursday, Nov. 13, Dion announced via Instagram that she is releasing her full 1991 performance of “Where Does My Heart Beat Now,” which was taken from the BBC archives.

The Canadian singer gave the performance on the BBC’s Wogan, the long-running talk show hosted by Terry Wogan. Dion was only about 23 years old at the time of the performance.

“🎉 To wrap up the anniversary year celebrating 35 years of the album UNISON, we have a special surprise for you!” Dion, now 57, wrote in her Instagram caption on Thursday.

“The LIVE performance of Where Does My Heart Beat Now, taken from the BBC archives, is now available,” the caption continued, while the nostalgic video was described as, “The perfect way to relive the emotion of this timeless classic and admire Céline’s incredible vocal mastery. 💖”

Fans can watch the performance in full via YouTube or Apple Music.

“Queen of Queens ❤️” one of her fans celebrated in the comments, while several other fans called the 1990 track one of the “best songs of all time.”

“What an era ❤️🙌😍” another user added.

Other fans in the comments described the performance as “Pure magic” and “Perfection.”

Celine Dion Marks 35 Years Since Her First English-Language Album, UNISON

This year, Dion has been celebrating the 35-year anniversary of UNISON, her first English-language album.

“Where Does My Heart Beat Now” is perhaps the biggest hit off the album, which also hosts songs like “(If There Was) Any Other Way” and “I Feel Too Much.”

UNISON was Dion’s first album to not be recorded in French. She debuted with her first album, Du soleil au coeur in 1983, followed by the 1984 compilation album Les Premieres Annees and 1987’s Incognito.
