After major media outlets projected Donald Trump to win the presidency following the 2024 election, Christina Applegate issued a scathing message to her followers on X.

The Dead to Me star, a staunch disability rights activist who is living with multiple sclerosis (MS), and who shares 13-year-old daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble with her husband, Martyn LeNoble, called on any of her Trump-supporting fans to unfollow her early in the morning of Nov. 6, 2024.

“Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that,” she wrote on the social media platform. “Unfollow me because what you did is unreal. Don’t want followers like this. So yeah. Done.”

She also noted that she’d be “shutting down” the fan account that she’s run for “so many years,” though in a later tweet she acknowledged she was “riled up” and might feel differently “after some sleep.”

As folks questioned where else they could keep up with her, she replied, “Nowhere. Come morning all fan sites will be gone because of this piece of human garbage,” though she did encourage them to keep listening to MeSsy, the podcast she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler

Earlier in the night, she also begged voters to defend themselves, suggesting that Sadie was “sobbing” in fear of “her rights as a woman” to “be taken away.” She suggested then, too, that anyone who “disagree[d]” should stop following her account.

As some antagonized the actress over her concerns, she demanded they “Get on the phone now,” requesting their phone numbers to have an actual conversation, and said “Bye,” “sorry,” and, “See ya…” to those adhering to her request.

As of writing, the Associated Press, CNN and NBC, among others, project Trump to win, but votes are still being counted.
