Cineplex is about to give away free popcorn across Canada

A warm bag of delicious, buttery popcorn is a movie night essential, but do you know what tastes even better? A free bag of movie theatre popcorn.

To celebrate National Popcorn Day on January 19, Cineplex is hosting an entire weekend of free popcorn for moviegoers from January 17 to 19, 2025.

For three days, all Scene+ members who purchase a Cineplex movie ticket can claim a free small bag of popcorn that same day by scanning their membership card at the concession stand.

If you’d rather have your movie night in from the comfort of your own home, you’ll still be able to get in on the action, as Cineplex will be offering a bonus bag of popcorn for all orders placed on DoorDash, Skip, and Uber Eats over the weekend.

All you need to do is open your app of choice, search “Cineplex” and order your favourite snacks, and a free small bag of popcorn will be added to your order.

Whether you’ve got your sights set on the latest comedy or horror is more your bag, some free popcorn will up your movie night game.
