System requirements for Civilization 7 have been announced ahead of its release by developer Firaxis Games, which also confirmed that Civilization 7 is Steam Deck verified.

Firaxis detailed minimum, recommended, and ultra setting requirements for PC, but only shared minimum and recommended for Mac and Linux. Luckily, even if you’re not rocking a top-of-the-line rig, you won’t need to heavily update your system! As for handheld enjoyers, your gameplay may be a little restricted depending on your device.

Here are the Civilization 7 system requirements, including some extra information about the game’s Steam Deck support.

Is Civilization 7 playable on Steam Deck?

Being Steam Deck verified means that Civilization 7 will work on your Steam Deck with no extra steps — but, if you’re running into performance issues, you can always stream from your PC to your Steam Deck via Steam Remote Play.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch version of Civilization 7 is not expected to support map sizes of Standard and above, but there has not been any news of Steam Decks following suit. If you’re a proud owner of both the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, it may be better for you to play on the Steam Deck due to performance.
