Tracy Ullman is one stylish Brit.
The comedy queen, 65, rose to superstardom on The Tracy Ullman Show, which ran from 1987 to 1990. The groundbreaking series even served as the platform that introduced America to the legendary series, The Simpsons. Her later series, the HBO sketch show Tracy Takes On…, was also a serious hit, and many folks will remember her causing chaos for Larry David in a recent season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Earlier this week, Ullman hit a photocall for Steve at the Ham Yard Hotel in London, England, looking as chic as ever. Wearing a menswear-inspired navy pinstripe suit, the comedy legend sported a black shirt underneath and a long, silver necklace. The actress let her long hair shimmer with its natural gray tone, and capped off the look with bright red lipstick.

What is ‘Steve’ About?
Steve director Tim Mielants and Ullman’s costar Cillian Murphy joined her on the red carpet at the photocall. The film follows Murphy’s character, a headteacher who is in charge of a school for boys with societal and behavioural difficulties. In an interview with The Independent, Ullman spoke about the challenging topic of the film.
“I love these boys in this film… I’m a grandmother now… I think it’s very hard to be a boy in this world right now. It’s hard to be anybody, but especially a, a young person,” she explained.
“My best thing I’ve ever done is have children, but it ain’t easy, you know, you’re not having a baby, you’re having a person. And, uh, it’s a huge responsibility. I felt all that for them,” she continued.
Tracy Takes on Drama
While Ullman is instantly identified with comedy, she moves into drama with ease, as her role in Steve shows. Her turn opposite Keira Knightley, Sarah Lancashire, and Ben Whishaw in Netflix’s 2024 British spy drama Black Doves, which was created by Giri/Haji director Joe Barton, makes you hold off until the season finale to see her. However, her turn as the leader of a crime family is well worth the wait. Grab your remotes immediately!
