If you’re a Costco shopper and a yogurt fan, heads up! Costco Canada has issued another yogurt recall — its second in just two weeks.

This time, the recall affects Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yogurt, and it could cause illness in individuals with compromised immune systems.

In a notice published on Monday, Costco said that Danone Canada, the manufacturer, was recalling the product due to the possible presence of yeast. While the risk is low since this yeast “is not known to grow in refrigerated temperatures,” according to the notice, it’s still enough of a concern that you shouldn’t consume the yogurt.

Affected products came in a 24-pack of 100-gram containers and were sold between September 3 and 19, 2024, with best-before dates of October 18, 20 and 22, 2024.

If you have any of these yogurts in your fridge, Costco advises returning them to your local warehouse for a full refund. For more info, you can also reach out to Danone Canada at the email or phone number provided on the recall notice.

This comes just two weeks after another yogurt recall from Costco.

On September 10, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a recall notice for Kirkland Signature Greek Yogurt, which was pulled from shelves due to mold. That product was sold across the country in 24-packs of 100 grams as well, and it carried a best-before date of August 10, 2024. The mold issue was reported as non-harmful but still a quality concern.

Costco Canada has now had two yogurt recalls in quick succession, so if you’re a fan of their yogurt, you might want to check your fridge and make sure your products aren’t affected.

Stay safe out there, folks!
