Costco customers are certainly a crafty bunch. And they’ve just discovered yet another hack that has us singing their praises. If you’ve ever shopped at Costco and found yourself feeling a bit parched, chances are you made a quick pit stop to the warehouse’s food court for a cool beverage. And at that point, you likely noticed that your Costco shopping cart was missing a cup holder for your newly-acquired beverage.

The lack of a cup holder is a common complaint among many shoppers, but there’s one person who came up with a clever fix for the problem. In a Reddit post shared this week, they revealed that they use the baby strap attached to the shopping cart to keep their cup secure.

“A solution to no cup holder in the carts. Baby strap it. Baffles me that they sell soda yet have nothing to keep your drink from spilling over while you shop!” they wrote.

The cup holder hack has been met with fairly mixed reviews, with some eager to try it out for themselves and others worried about how sanitary it is.

“Where was this idea when i was speeding through the store like an hour ago,” one person wrote.

“I avoid that whole area because I assume it’s covered in fecal matter,” another user pointed out.

One Redditor is pretty convinced that the lack of a cup holder means all food and drink should stay in the food court.

“As someone who works in grocery, I see the lack of a cupholder as a sign that customers should only have food/drink in the foodcourt, which they should be doing after their other shopping instead of before,” they wrote.
