Costco members aren’t happy with the latest update to its list of Kirkland Signature products.

Those who shop at the club know its own brand to be amongst the superior ranks of store brands because oftentimes, its offerings aren’t just great dupes but white labeled name brand products. But even when they’re not, fans love Kirkland products for their bargain price and quality.

But recently, shoppers noticed one kitchen staple has been lacking from shelves and has started to disappear online and in-app, too, with product listings either now defunct or listed as “out of stock.” One social media post suggested that the product started disappearing from select locations, including Costco business centers, as early as January of this year.

But as the shortage became more widespread this spring, shoppers pleaded with one another online to fill out the customer feedback survey and beg the brand to bring it back, as no one has been able to find an alternative that meets both their nutrition and budget needs.

So, what’s going on with Kirkland Signature soy milk?

According to a Reddit post from mid-March, one shopper claimed they emailed Costco to inquire about the sudden disappearance of the product only to be told that the Kirkland Signature soy milk “was discontinued due to slow sales.”

“However, we plan on bringing in a branded Soy Milk as an item rotation throughout the year,” the apparent statement added. “The next rotation is due to arrive in August.”

A rep for Costco Wholesale did not immediately return Parade’s request for comment.

“I know it’s silly but I am so devastated,” one Reddit user wrote. “The Kirkland brand soy milk was the best dairy free milk I have ever found. RIP 😭.”

“The soy milk is the main reason I got a Costco card,” another disappointed shopper shared.

“That’s terrible, I am in shambles right now,” a third wrote. “The price cannot be beat and I mix it with my protein shake daily.”

“My husband LOVES this soy milk and we have been looking for it the last few trips!” someone else admitted. “Very sad.”

“Ugh! I’m so sad about this,” one more declared. “I’ve been looking for it 😭.”

In the meantime, those who regularly purchased the product have found Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Soy Milk to be the next best thing, noting it’s a little bit more expensive but has a more simplified ingredient list.
