'Counting On's Jinger Duggar 'Has a Confession to Make' While Revealing Major Career Update

As the writer of a bestselling tell-all memoir, former reality TV star Jinger Duggar Vuolo has been open with fans about how growing up in the spotlight affected her. Now the Counting On alum is continuing the conversation with an all new book.

Jinger took to Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 24, to share the news of her upcoming release. In a short video clip, the mother-of-two sat on a couch, addressing the camera directly.

“My name is Jinger, and I have a confession to make…I am a people pleaser,” she said.

“I am so excited to finally announce that my new book People Pleaser comes out on January 14! You can pre-order it today at JingerandJeremy.com (link in bio) 😊,” Jinger captioned her post.

Duggar’s followers were excited and inspired by the announcement.

“Congratulations and looking forward to reading (as a fellow people pleaser who is trying to break that cycle!),” wrote one fan.

“I am trying to work on this myself! Thank you for sharing your healing journey,” commented a second person.

“Congratulations Jinger! Can’t wait to read it! Becoming free indeed has helped me so much! Thank you!” raved someone else.

In an interview with People, Jinger talked about her reasons for writing the book.

“I think that from the start, I realized that man, there are so many people who are on this journey of self-discovery with me. And I started to realize more and more I was such a people-pleaser,” she said. 

Jinger continued, “I was so consumed with what everyone around me thought about me. And oftentimes, I saw how it just started to get serious when it started affecting my relationships or just really causing me to reject certain relationships because I was afraid of what that person might think of me.”

Jinger’s memoir about how she came to question her religious upbringing, Becoming Free Indeed, was released in 2023.
