There’s no denying that country singer Eric Church, 48, is one of the most talented artists in the business. He has such a unique and distinct sound, and his songs and lyrics are catchy, powerful, and so much fun to sing along to.
Church recently stepped up to help out fellow musician, Luke Bryan, who had to pull out of three of his shows this weekend due to an illness and his “voice just not being there.” Church was/is performing in his place at three venues: Country Stampede in Bonner Springs, KS, NebraskaLand Days in North Platte, NE, and Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO, which takes place tonight, June 28.
While fans no doubt missed Bryan, it’s safe to say Church more than delivered on giving them an incredible show in his place.
Just check out this video of him performing a rare acoustic set, which had the crowd loving every minute while singing along.

Doesn’t he sound incredible? His voice was seriously made for acoustic music. We really don’t need anything else besides him and his guitar.
People are praising the performance, with one fan saying, “Hats off to Eric for stepping in last minute to perform at these amazing festivals, bringing his unique style and energy to the stage, and making it a memorable experience for the fans! 🙌”

Another person added, “Hope he sang ‘Talladega’ that way too. God, that looks awesome.”
As you’ll see in the video caption, the creator asked, “Is this the first-ever acoustic set by a major artist at a festival???”
While the set may be rare, the answer is no — and people were quick to point out that Church has gone acoustic before.
One fan noted, “He did this in 2021, too, in Pittsburgh. Two nights. It was the best concert. He’s incredible.”
Someone else added, “Stagecoach 2024, he did acoustic.”

Church has a few more tour dates in July, and then he’s taking a hiatus until concerts resume in September, when he has shows scheduled into November.
Whether he decides to gift fans with an acoustic set or not, each performance is bound to be a night to remember.
