Darius Rucker Shares 'So Funny' Story of Fans Who Didn't Recognize His Famous Friend: 'Still Laughing'

Darius Rucker is looking back on a hilarious memory he has with some of his fans. 

In a new Instagram post shared earlier in the week, the “Wagon Wheel” crooner opened up about the time that two of his fans didn’t recognize his famous friend, who happened to be none other than Woody Harrelson.

As seen in the “storytime” re-posted to Rucker’s page, one of the fans recalled, “One time my friend & I saw Darius Rucker at a bar and we asked his friend to take a photo of us.” 

She continued, “Darius was laughing and kept saying, ‘I’m gonna tell this story.'” 

“Then we saw people asking to take photos with his friend,” they added, before coming to the realization, “we asked woody harrelson to take a photo OF us.” 

“luckily he left us this,” they wrote, while sharing the selfie that Harrelson, 63, left in their camera roll. 

Rucker, 58, shared the photos to his Instagram page with the caption, “Still laughing 😂,” while fans in the comments were also left in stitches over the hilarious mix-up. 

“I am wheezing,” one fan wrote under the post, while another user added, “This is the stuff that makes my heart smile!” 

“Too funny. I love it,” someone else added. 

“I feel like this is something Woody Harrelson would find hilarious,” another user noted. 

Even the official Instagram account for the Grand Ole Opry chimed in with a comment to call the situation “incredible.”
