Days of Our Lives is celebrating its 60th anniversary this November, and Alison Sweeney, best known to fans as Sami Brady, is returning for the milestone. Now fans have been given their first hint at a secret Sami has been keeping from her family.
According to Swoon, viewers can expect a major revelation when Sami returns for the huge gala celebrating the grand opening of the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic. During the festivities, the beloved soap heroine will reveal that she is engaged, but the identity of her fiancé remains a mystery.

Fans immediately began speculating on social media about who the lucky man may be. “if it isn’t Lucas…” wrote one user on X (Formerly Twitter), another user believes they have it all figured out writing, “Sami will be engaged to Rafe I’m calling it now.” A third user wrote, “It’s Days so it has to be someone with a Salem connection. Lucas is in prison, right? Austin is still married to Carrie. Rafe and EJ are still on the show. The only other Sami love interest I can think of is Brandon Walker who I did like back in the day.”
Throughout her decades in Salem, Sami has had a number of on-screen love interests. She was part of a classic love quadrangle with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), his brother Austin Reed (Patrick Muldoon and later Austin Peck), and Sami’s sister Carrie Brady (Christie Clark). Her next great, and controversial, love interest was E.J. DiMera (James Scott). Throughout her time on the soap she also was in a relationship with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerring) and Brandon Walker (Matt Cedeno).
Fans know that Austin is still currently happily married to Carrie, E.J. (Now played by Dan Feuerriegel) has been involved with Sami’s other sister Belle (Martha Madison), but could one of the other men from Sami’s past be set to walk her down the aisle, or has Sami met someone new or someone from Days past? Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out, as Days of our Lives celebrates 60 years later this month.
Days of Our Lives streams weekdays exclusively on Peacock.
