Design Hotels, a portfolio of almost 300 independent hotels, has announced 29 new agreements and a 10% growth of its global portfolio over the past year. The new hotels are located in various destinations, including the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, and Bali.

In the U.S. and Mexico, Design Hotels has added seven new destinations and 10 new hotels, bringing the total to over 25 hotels in Mexico. The company has also strengthened its relationships with Firmdale Hotels and Grupo Habita and entered into new agreements with independent hotel groups Drift Hotels and ASH.

Design Hotels’ U.S. additions include the Warren Street Hotel, a 69-room property in Tribeca, New York City, which opened in February 2024. ASH hotels that are joining the portfolio include Ulysses in Baltimore and The Dean in Providence. Drift Hotels’ properties in San Jose del Cabo, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and Nashville have also been added to the portfolio.

In Mexico, Design Hotels will add the forthcoming Tinte Hotel, Hotel Sevilla, and Hotel Humano, bringing the company’s total number of hotels in Mexico to 26.

Design Hotels is also expanding its portfolio in Switzerland, adding three unique hotels to bring its total to 15 in the country. It also welcomes its fifth hotel in Georgia and introduces new properties in Istanbul, Singapore, and Bali.

Managing Director Stijn Oyen stated that as the company expands, each property reflects the unique vision of its owner, ensuring that the experience at each Design Hotel is unique and personal.

Design Hotels’ services include public relations, sales, digital marketing, web design, and content creation. The company also benefits from Marriott’s global distribution channels and the Marriott Bonvoy travel program.
