Dolly Parton returns as host of the Academy of Country Music Awards for the second year in a row, but this year brings a new plus-one. Garth Brooks.
The show is set for May 11 and will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Full reruns of the ceremony and performance will be streamed for free the next day on Amazon Freevee.
It’s the second year in a row that the show has been hosted by Parton, but it’s the first time Brooks has taken the stage to host an awards show.
In a statement, Parton said, “I am thrilled to now be hosting the ACM Awards with my friend Garth.” I can’t believe we never got the chance to work together.”
“Anyone with Dolly Parton makes a great couple,” added Brooks.
