Dolly Parton has addressed her family, friends, and fans following their massive support in the wake of husband Carl Dean’s death at the age of 82 earlier this week. 

The “Jolene” songstress took to Instagram on Thursday, March 6—three days after Dean died—with a brief message of “love” for those who have been reaching out to her.

“This is a love note to family, friends, and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you’ve sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband Carl,” she wrote in a graphic uploaded to the social media platform. “I can’t reach out personally to each of you but just know it has meant the world to me. He is in God’s arms now and I am okay with that. I will always love you. — Dolly.”

Alongside countless fans, industry colleagues flooded her comment section with even more thoughtful messages. 

Julianne Hough left a sweet note in the comments, writing, “I will always love you and Carl 🤍🤍🤍.”

Wynonna Judd also left an effusive note, commenting, “YOU ARE LOVED. ♥️,” in all caps. 

“Sending you so much love Dolly🥺🙏,” Paris Hilton chimed in, while Angie Harmon assured her, “You are so deeply loved!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Stephanie Beatriz and Randy Rainbow also left a series of heart emojis in support of the country musician. 

When news of Dean’s death first broke, Parton, 79, said in a statement: “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”

“The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time,” the statement concluded. A cause of death has not been provided.
