Dolly Parton just proved that even while taking doctor-ordered rest, she’s still dreaming up big ideas. The country icon, 79, revealed more details in the first official announcement for a brand-new hotel in Nashville, Tennessee — a dazzling new venture called the SongTeller Hotel, opening in Spring 2026.
The announcement arrives just weeks after Parton shared that she would need to postpone her sold-out Las Vegas residency and miss this year’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award presentation at the Governors Awards due to ongoing health issues. “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she told fans in a heartfelt Instagram note, adding that she felt she needed to “slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
‘I Am a SongTeller’
Parton shared the first look at her new project on Instagram, writing on her stories, “I love songs. I love to tell stories. And most of all, I just love to write. It’s just who I am. I am a SongTeller.”

The official caption added, “Where every song tells a story. Discover where they all come together. Opening Spring 2026 in the heart of Nashville. 🎼 #SongTellerHotel.”
According to the project’s website, the SongTeller Hotel will be “as unique as the global icon herself” — a music-filled retreat that celebrates Dolly’s career, creativity and signature warmth. Guests will be invited to “Love Every Moment” and “unplug, connect with loved ones and be entertained,” all while surrounded by décor, art and a soundtrack inspired by her legendary catalog.
A Hotel, the Dolly Way
The description promises a stay full of “glamor, artistic surprises and a sense of humor,” with every space designed to reflect her trailblazing spirit. “In every corner, you’ll find playful pieces of art and décor, accompanied by a soundtrack that reflects Dolly’s incredible music career,” reads the announcement. “SongTeller Hotel celebrates the people, talent and setting of Nashville, weaving the local music and culinary scenes together.”

Beyond its 245 guest rooms and themed suites, SongTeller Hotel will offer three distinct entertainment experiences — The Listening Lobby, Parton’s Live and Jolene’s, which is obviously named after one of her biggest hits.
It’s the latest in a string of creative ventures for the Tennessee native, who has long championed her home state through Dollywood, Imagination Library and now, her newest hospitality endeavor.
Fans flooded Dolly’s post with love and excitement for her newest project — “So ready 🦋,” wrote one fan, and another added, “Walked by there Saturday while in Nashville. Cannot wait!! 😍.”
