Officials of Donohoe Hospitality Services (DHS), a division of Donohoe, today announced that the company named Nicole Brizan vice president of finance and accounting. In her new role, she will help lead the company’s corporate and property-level financial direction for its hotel portfolio.
“With more than twenty years of hospitality accounting experience, Nicole is the ideal candidate to lead the accounting team through continued expansion within DHS,” said Thomas Penny, III, president, DHS. “Having worked with one of the most respected REITs in the hotel industry, she brings brand and owner insights that will immediately strengthen Donohoe. We look forward to her taking her department to the next level by strengthening our team and systems, reinforcing a culture of growth and upward mobility and unlocking value for our investors and partners.”
Brizan most recently served as director of hotel accounting and reporting with Host Hotels and Resorts, the largest lodging REIT, with a portfolio of 74 iconic U.S. properties, as well as select international assets totaling approximately 42,500 rooms and generating roughly $1 billion in EBITDA. In this role, Brizan oversaw hotel-level reporting, analysis and forecasting for some of the industry’s most complex assets. Prior to that, she held multiple financial positions with Marriott International, culminating in manager of business support. Brizan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Adelphi University, a Master of Science in Real Estate from American University and a Cornell certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management.
