Dr Pepper fans are armed and ready to create “stockpiles” of a beloved flavor that many were surprised to see hit store shelves again this week.
“Creamy Coconut is back in action,” foodstagrammer markie_devo confirmed on the social media platform on Friday, May 3, celebrating that it was “about forking time!!🥥🕺🏻” for it to happen—and fans are in unanimous agreement over the limited edition flavor that has been compared to an Almond Joy.
Originally released as a summer 2024 exclusive, the pop features “a combination of distinctive Dr Pepper flavor with the refreshing taste of coconut.” It’s unclear how long it may stick around this time, but, so far, full-sugar and zero-sugar options have been spotted in canned varieties in several different retailers in Missouri, New Mexico, Idaho, Arizona and Utah. It’s also unclear if the release is set to be nationwide, but bottled variants are expected to follow, according to the influencer.
It was “great news” for fans of the popular soda brand, who have been itching to see the flavor restocked.
“I love this! Tastes like summer 😋,” one commented, as another affirmed that “Coconut DP is amazing ❤️.”
“This is really sooo good,” commenters continued to fawn. “So glad it’s coming back out.”
“One of my all time favorite flavors of Dr. Pepper!” somebody else declared, while another exclaimed, “IM GONNA CRY YESSSSSSS YES YES YES YES STES YES YES.”
Those who missed it the first time around were thrilled as well, admitting, “Yesss! I never got to try this one and been hoping it comes out again.”
“Note to self: stockpile the hell out of this!!” one exclaimed, and it’s clear that retailers may have a hard time keeping Creamy Coconut on store shelves.
