Dry Creek Rancheria and Caesars Entertainment have commenced construction to transform River Rock Casino into Caesars Republic Sonoma County, with completion expected by summer 2027.

Dry Creek Rancheria and Caesars Entertainment have initiated the construction of Caesars Republic Sonoma County, a new integrated resort set to replace River Rock Casino. The groundbreaking event took place on August 2, marking the start of a project that involves significant redevelopment of the existing casino facilities. The new resort will be located off Highway 101, overlooking the Alexander Valley Vineyards and the Russian River.

The development is a collaborative effort, with Dry Creek Rancheria selecting Caesars Entertainment as both the development and management partner. Financing for the project is led by Citizens, with Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) serving as the primary real estate financing partner.

The redesigned resort will feature a new casino floor equipped with over 1,000 slot machines and 28 table games. Additionally, the site will include a 100-room hotel offering amenities such as a spa, pool, and fitness center. The project aims to enhance the gaming and hospitality offerings in Sonoma County, leveraging the location’s proximity to the renowned wine country.

The resort will also introduce a variety of dining options, including a steakhouse, an upscale café, an Asian-themed restaurant, and a quick-service outlet. Beverage options will include a fireside bar, a sports bar, and a dedicated wine bar with an outdoor deck offering views of the surrounding valley.

Caesars Republic Sonoma County will be integrated into Caesars Entertainment’s Caesars Rewards network, allowing guests to earn and redeem credits at over 50 destinations nationwide.

Further details regarding the development will be released as the project progresses. Completion of the resort is anticipated by the summer of 2027.
