Dual-Branded Marriott Hotel Opens in Milwaukee

The property, known as theMarriott Center, comprises the all-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield at Poplar Creek and Courtyard by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield at Poplar Creek.

Wimmer Communities and Crescent Hotels & Resorts have announced the opening of a dual-branded Marriott property in Milwaukee. The new Marriott Center offers various amenities, including a restaurant, fitness center, swimming pool, rooftop patio with a fire pit, and outdoor gathering areas.

The property provides free covered parking for guests. The Residence Inn part of the property features 104 rooms, each equipped with a kitchen and workspace, while the Courtyard offers 121 rooms with ergonomic workspaces and comfortable bedding.

The Marriott Center is part of the Poplar Creek Town Center, a mixed-use development with open-air spaces, restaurants, shops, and residential buildings. The development aims to create community and connectedness, offering retail, services, and dining options across the ground-level Shops of Poplar Creek, the adjoining Town Center, and the Gateway building. The Poplar Creek Club, a residential building, overlooks the Poplar Creek Preserve.

John Wimmer, Executive Vice President of Wimmer Communities, highlighted the aim of seamlessly integrating The Marriott Center with the Poplar Creek Town Center. Michael George, Founder and CEO of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the town center’s role in fostering a sense of community among residents and visitors.

The development was strategically located in Brookfield due to its proximity to major roadways, a vibrant community, and space for a project of this scale. The design preserves local woods and wetlands while creating new park areas, pedestrian bridges, and trails. It also provides easy access to various public transit options.
