  • Dusit International has announced plans to expand its luxury and upper midscale brands in key emerging markets across India.
  • The company is preparing to launch six additional hotels nationwide under its Dusit Princess and Dusit Collection brands.

Dusit International has unveiled plans to broaden its presence in India. The company aims to target emerging markets in the country with its luxury and upper midscale brands.

India’s hospitality landscape is evolving with rising disposable incomes, increasing demand for premium stays, and enhanced connectivity. Dusit targets underserved yet high-potential markets nationwide, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 destinations where luxury hospitality options are currently limited.

Dusit’s expansion strategy builds on the momentum of its recent foray into the Indian market. In December 2024, it opened the upscale dusitD2 Fagu in Shimla, followed by the signing of three key properties in Karnataka.

The company plans to tap underserved locations by offering a distinctive blend of holistic wellness, contemporary design, and exceptional service through its diverse brand portfolio, which spans from ultra-luxury Devarana – Dusit Retreats to upper midscale and midscale brands like Dusit Princess and ASAI Hotels.

Dusit is preparing to launch six additional hotels across India. The upper-midscale Dusit Princess brand will debut in Raipur, Bhiwadi, Kolkata, and Lonavala, while two luxury properties under the recently introduced Dusit Collection brand will offer escapes in the Himalayan foothills of Kasol and Manali.

“India represents an exceptional growth opportunity for Dusit – across major metros and particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where premium hospitality options remain limited despite strong demand,” said Mr. Siradej Donavanik, Vice President – Development (Global), Dusit International.

Dusit’s long-term vision involves building an integrated hospitality ecosystem in India, comprising luxury stays, holistic wellness, refined gastronomy, and hospitality education. At the center of this vision is a commitment to sustainability, reflected in Dusit’s Tree of Life program, which aligns with selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The company’s entry into the Indian market forms part of a broader expansion strategy that includes high-growth markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, China, and India, with a bold plan to sign more than 100 hotels globally over the next five years.
