Take a step into Downtown and visit Edmonton’s annual Pride Festival.

This glitter-filled, festive, cheerful celebration will light up Edmonton for three days of endless fun.

Edmonton’s ICE District will be transformed for a whole weekend of spectacular pride events and concerts. Whether it be for the community Pride Parade, a brunch sing-along with your favourite drag queens, or a powerful stag performance, this weekend has it all.

What to expect

Pride Weekend starts off with a bang, with Downtown Edmonton turning into the Pink Pony Club.

This 18+ party under the stars features pop and dance music for everyone to get their groove on. While the music is playing and everyone is dancing, this party also shines the spotlight on drag queens who will be tearing up the stage, pole dancers, go-go dancers, and exotic dancers, as well as — if you can believe it — acrobats flipping from the sky.

If you’re looking for even more excitement, check out the party’s mechanical bull rides. Doors open at 5 p.m., don’t miss out!

The following Saturday afternoon, they will be holding the Edmonton Pride Parade at 1 p.m.

This free event is back after a seven-year hiatus, bigger and brighter than ever. All ages are welcome to wave a flag and be a part of this historic return. Watch from the official viewing party in the ICE District Plaza as the streets of Downtown Edmonton fill with this dazzling spectacle of love, identity, and unity.

Later that Saturday, PrideFest will kick off in Fan Park. This fest is a massive celebration of queer joy, music, and community, free for all ages.

Live performances on the main stage will feature headliners such as Canadian artists Jamie Fine and LU KALA. In addition to the headliners, a large lineup of local drag queens, musicians, artists, and bands will all be performing as well, highlighting Edmonton queer talent.

Guests are also invited to take a stroll through Rainbow Road, the festival’s vibrant marketplace. Here you can discover unique art pieces, learn about local initiatives, and even connect with local organizations working to make a difference in your community.

Looking for something a bit more nutritious? Look no further, because this festival is also offering a food truck alley with over a dozen food trucks, as well as beer gardens for those looking to get refreshed.

The festival comes to a close on Sunday at 1 p.m. with their Brunch Sing-Along event.

Three massive drag icons are gracing Edmonton with their presence. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner Alaska, Drag Race legend Willam, and the original meme-queen Kelly are all coming to knock your socks off.

With every ticket, each individual receives a free inflatable microphone and a front seat to a performance you’ll never forget.

Stop in downtown and celebrate queer joy this summer at the queer-est festival in the city!
