We are excited to invite you to the upcoming run of Banana Musik, a powerful memory play written by Kris Alvarez, performed by Kris, Jim, and Susan Alvarez, and directed by Judy Wensel.
About the Show
Banana Musik is a deeply personal work about aging, reciprocity, and care—a love letter to adult (immigrant) children giving back to the parents who sacrificed everything. Through music, storytelling, and memory, Kris Alvarez welcomes audiences into her family home to explore heritage, love, and the bonds between generations. Join Kris and Common Ground for the run of Banana Musik, culminating in a one night only special event, Burnt Sienna!
Along with Banana Musik, please also join us for our Workshop Series!
