Wizards of the Coast just unveiled a full slate of new Magic: The Gathering sets coming in 2026, and, unsurprisingly, there’s a lot of Universes Beyond. Next year, Magic fans will be treated to new sets exploring the worlds of Star Trek, The Hobbit, and Marvel Super Heroes. We’re also getting a few in-universe sets, specifically Lorwyn Eclipsed, Secrets of Strixhaven, and Reality Fracture.
Lorwyn Eclipsed (January 2026)
This one isn’t a surprise, but Wizards finally revealed some of the cards coming in its return to this Celtic folklore-inspired plane. Take a look at the cards in the gallery above. Lorwyn Eclipsed will be released on Jan. 23, 2026.
TBA Universes Beyond set
This one won’t be announced until New York Comic Con in October. We know there’s a Magic x Nickelodeon panel at the convention. Could we be getting a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set?
Secrets of Strixhaven (April 2026)
Another classic Magic plane gets revisited in this set, which returns to the school of witchcraft and wizardry (not Harry Potter). Check out the first artwork above.
Marvel Super Heroes (June 2026)
If Spider-Man felt too small, the next Marvel set for Magic, named Marvel Super Heroes, will be a whole lot bigger. This new set essentially feels like the Avengers, featuring everyone from Captain America, Iron Man, and Nick Fury to Killmonger and Squirrel Girl.
The Hobbit (August 2026)
Yep, we’re getting a new Lord of the Rings set for Magic. This one is focused on the adventures of a young Bilbo Baggins, which means trolls, dwarves, and, of course, Gollum.
Reality Fracture (October 2026)
This is the big in-universe Magic event that Wizards of the Coast has been teasing. We don’t know much about it yet, but Wizards is teasing “a villain you’ll have to see to believe.”
Star Trek (November 2026)
Last but certainly not least, Magic is going boldly where no man has gone before. Yep, Star Trek is coming to Magic and it looks glorious.
