Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open three new establishments in strategic locations in Saudi Arabia by 2030. This expansion is aligned with the Kingdom’s Saudi Vision 2030 and is expected to contribute to the country’s burgeoning tourism sector.
The first of the new properties, Fairmont Red Sea, is set to open by the end of 2025. Located within Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Red Sea Project, the hotel aims to offer a transformative accommodation experience focusing on sustainability. The property will have 193 rooms, six dining venues, an overwater restaurant, a spa, a teens center, and kids’ clubs. The resort will also be adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course.
In 2027, Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar is expected to open its doors in the heart of Al Khobar’s center. This property will be part of the vibrant Ajdan Waterfront development and offer 160 rooms, serviced apartments, four dining outlets, a spa, fitness facilities, and executive meeting rooms.
The last of the trio, Fairmont Rua Madinah, is slated to open in 2028. Situated near the revered Prophet’s Mosque, the hotel will feature 143 rooms and suites, various dining venues, and 120 branded residences. The property will also provide a kids’ club, fitness center, and spa.
Fairmont’s expansion into Saudi Arabia is part of a broader strategy to grow in destinations that offer significant opportunities for the hospitality industry.
