The hotel is part of the Xiamen Airlines headquarters complex and offers 420 rooms, five dining options, and over 3,100 square meters of event space.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of the Accor hospitality group, has launched Fairmont Xiamen, a new hotel in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. The property is located within the Xiamen Airlines headquarters complex, offering travelers a blend of luxury and culture in the city’s heart.
The 33-story tower, set against the backdrop of the Wuyi Mountains, features a modern design that reflects both the local Minnan culture and the global mindset of the Fairmont brand. The property consists of 420 guest rooms and suites, all adorned with Old Hollywood Art Deco elements and views of the city and the sea.
Fairmont Xiamen collaborates with international design teams, including Foster + Partners, Cheng & Chung Design, and the American SWA Group. The design merges nature with urban life, offering guests a high-end contemporary experience.
The hotel introduces guests to international and local dining experiences across its five restaurants. With a focus on sustainability and healthier choices, the dining options range from Fujian cuisine at TIANXIA 1984 Chinese Restaurant to Italian fusion at Del Mar Italian Restaurant and international delicacies at Victoria Destination Restaurant.
The Fairmont Gold Lounge offers a “hotel within a hotel” experience, providing a tranquil space for guests seeking personalized luxury and privacy. Its design is inspired by the silhouette of a white heron, a symbol of the local Minnan culture.
Fairmont Xiamen also has over 3,100 square meters of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. This includes two ballrooms, an outdoor sky lawn, and six naturally lit meeting rooms. A multifunctional auditorium, the only one in a luxury hotel in the city, is also available for concerts, movie premieres, brand launches, and other events.
The hotel’s wellness facilities include the Fairmont Spa and Fairmont Fit, tucked within a sunken courtyard. A fitness center and indoor pool, enhanced by floor-to-ceiling glass walls, allow natural sunlight to illuminate the space.
As part of Fairmont’s commitment to environmental stewardship, Fairmont Xiamen partners with BeWTR to provide locally filtered water in recyclable glass bottles. The hotel also offers new-energy luxury vehicles for guest use, and the restaurants at Fairmont Xiamen employ innovative sustainable practices.
