In Ghost of Yōtei, the Faithful Leap shrine is hidden behind beautiful peaks and tricky paths. Reaching the beautiful flower-filled field where the shrine is located requires you to travel up a mountain, analyze the area, and identify the safest route to follow. But to conquer the mountain, you must muster up all the courage you have and leap to the next platform, hoping Atsu makes it to the other side.

If you’re afraid of heights or can’t find your way through the mountain to reach the shrine, don’t fret. Below, you find a complete Faithful Leap shrine walkthrough, showing where to find the entrance to the shrine in Ghost of Yōtei, how to reach it, and the reward you receive from completing it.

The Faithful Leap shrine is located on the northeast part of Yōtei Grassland, and it is located on a field that you can only access by platforming, using trees and ropes to reach it. You’ll find the entrance to the path that leads you to the shrine in the Twin Ponds of Hidaka area.

If you haven’t visited the area before, a good starting point is Yōtei’s Shadow Inn. From there, head north until you find the Nupur River and now follow it toward the northeast. The Twin Ponds of Hidaka area is between the Nikappu River and the Tomamu Marshlands. Once you spot a long trail of white flowers, follow it to find the first gate indicating the location of the shrine.

How to complete the Faithful Leap shrine in Ghost of Yōtei

To make it to where the Faithful Leap shrine is, you must pass through several platforming sections where you must either jump or use your hook to propel yourself to the next bit. Not every branch you can jump to is marked by red and white ropes, so it might be difficult to find your way as you head to the shrine.

The path to the shrine can be split into two parts: one in which you traverse a short segment to learn the basic mechanics involved in exploring the mountain, and one that happens after a brief loading screen, where you’ll need to put that knowledge into practice to actually reach the shrine.

Here’s how you find your way to the Faithful Leap shrine in Ghost of Yōtei, broken down into those two sections.

Faithful Leap shrine part one

Keep heading upwards until you find the next gate, and a gap you must jump over to reach the next segment. You can’t just follow the stairs in front of you since the path is blocked. You must press and hold R2 and L2 while using the left stick to pull and break the branch to the left of the blocked path.

After it breaks, leap on to it, jump toward the next branch, and use your hook to swing to the other side. Climb the wall in front of you to reach the next gate. In front of it, there is a tight rope. You need to jump and use the hook to get on top of it. To the left, you will find a sequence of two branches that you can use to reach the next area.

Before you can proceed, you need to break another branch, which you’ll need to reach another one, and then jump onto a rock. Climb it to reach the upper part, where there is the first of many bamboo bridges to cross. Head upwards to find the next gate and squeeze through an opening between rocks to reach the next area.

Faithful Leap shrine part two

The second part of the path begins next to a new gate. Turn right and climb the large steps beside a frog statue. Use the improvised bridge to cross to the next section. Keep going upwards to find another branch with red and white ropes on the left side. From the branch, jump to the tight rope in front of you. You’ll want to leap to a branch and to the small platform in front of it.

In the next section, you just need to jump from one bamboo bridge to the other to make your way to a new flight of stairs. It will lead you to an area above a beautiful blue lake. Turn right and use the bamboo bridge to reach the other side. Follow the only available path to find a sequence of branches with red and white ropes. Swing on them and get to the next tight rope.

You’ll want to break another branch and jump on it to reach two bamboo bridges. At the end of the second one, by looking to your right, you can see a broken tree trunk with red and white ropes around it. Jump and use your hook. Next, climb the rock near the edge to access the following area.

Head toward the opposite direction from where you came to find a gate and a broken bridge. To your left, slightly below where you are, there’s a tight rope. Jump on it, then use a branch to reach another tight rope. Walk over it, use the small platforms, and swing on some broken tree trunks to make your way to the next area.

Use the bamboo bridge and tight ropes in front of you to reach some rocks you need to climb. At the top of them, there’s an opening you can squeeze through to enter the field where the shrine is located.
