The father-son duo have often been spotted enjoying sporting events in the past—and on Saturday, they had a perfect opportunity to spend some time together when the SDSU Aztecs played a home game against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

In a video that Fieri, 56, posted on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host introduced Ryder as “my San Diego State freshman.” The two turned in a small circle while on the field at SDSU’s football stadium, providing Fieri’s Instagram followers with a view of the venue.

“We just got to walk the team out with the coach—it was pretty awesome,” Fieri explained. “You’ve got to see this stadium. They are gonna rock the house, right Ryder?” The teen agreed before his father offered words of encouragement to the team: “Go Aztecs!”

Fieri was only visible within the video from the shoulders up, but the view provided fans with a good look at the thick silver chains he wore around his neck. While Fieri often wears chains, these particular accessories caught the attention of several fans who left comments on the post.

“Bro your chains are out of control,” one person wrote as another joked, “You a rapper with those chains 🤣.”

“Chains ⛓️ looking 🥶 enjoy game,” one Instagram user commented.

“That ice bro!!!! 🙌🔥,” another fan praised.

In addition to the chains-related comments, many fans also applauded the “Proud father” for embracing new opportunities to spend time with his younger son, who one fan described as Fieri’s “mini.”

“Go Aztecs, great school, enjoy time with your son Guy,” one Instagram user wrote.

“My dude out there making the game appearances so his son is known as a legend too. Epic way to start freshman year. What a dad! 🔥🙌,” another fan praised.
