“America’s Next Top Angel” Tyra Banks has made her grand return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway!
The supermodel, 50, is known as an OG Angel, having been involved with the brand since 1997. She has been honored as a trailblazer, becoming the first Black model to cover the lingerie brand’s catalog, walked 10 consecutive VS Fashion Shows before its hiatus, and took the spot of wearing the iconic, highly-coveted Fantasy Bra twice in just eight years.
Now, she’s come out of retirement to strut her stuff down the catwalk once again, after 19 years away from the popular event.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Victoria’s Secret held its first fashionable function since 2019, with the America’s Next Top Model icon taking center stage in an all-black bedazzled ensemble to triumphantly close out the show.
For her moment in the spotlight, Banks donned a glitzy waist-cinching corset with a matching bra and sparkly spandex jumpsuit. She paired the look with heels that wrapped up her leg and a long, silver sequin cape.
For beauty, the Life-Size star wore her hair down, long and voluminous, complemented by a striking blush makeup look that accentuated her facial structure.
“America’s next top angel! 😍 #TyraBanks makes her return to the #VSFashionShow,” a video of the glamorous moment, posted by People, was captioned on Instagram.
In the comments, fans poured in with varying reactions to Banks’ runway return.
“QUEEN!!!!! Still slaying that runway 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍,” one raved, while another gushed, “Tyra is amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥.”
A third dropped in, emphatically dubbing the former Tyra Banks Show host a “LEGENNNNNNNNNNND❗️”
Others weren’t as impressed with Banks’ return.
“The show was so bad , compared to what it used to be,” an opposing comment read, while someone else called it a “Big No” and in another person’s opinion, she was “Overdoing it.”
“Did Tyra always walk like this? I just noticed it’s pretty bad… like sloppy bad,” an additional Instagram user chimed in.

On the other hand, one added, “People are so judgmental on the internet… most of u couldn’t hold a candle to this queen…” as one exclaimed, “What is wrong with everyone? These women are beautiful!❤️”
Meanwhile, one top-liked comment pointed out, “Contrary to popular opinion, I thought the Victoria’s Secret show was the most diverse ever! It showcased women of all ages, body types, and from different eras. We often get so caught up in aesthetics and comparisons, but why not appreciate this moment? It’s a huge step for the brand, which for years focused on unattainable standards and overlooked the everyday women who actually bought their products.
They concluded, “For me, it’s a win for both the brand and its audience! I watched it with my daughter, and we both loved it for what it was a total win! 🏆.”
