Zesty, topping-laden, carb-filled crust paired perfectly with a sugary, sweet, fizzy beverage to wash it all down? What more could you ask for? It’s the ultimate grab-and-go meal, and even if you prefer your pizza topped with shaved truffles, creme fraiche and a lemon-flavored San Pelligrino, there’s bound to be a combo of ‘za and bubbles that’s perfect for you.

As good as they are separately, though, what if we could combine the two? Like actually blend them into a beverage that highlights the best of both worlds. You know—a lightly sparkling, slightly sweet soda that features the zippy flavors of herbaceous marinara sauce, pepperoni, parmesan and a slight hint of garlic? Sure, it’s a little out there, but buzzy, better-for-you soda brand Perfy decided we need a little more liquid pizza in our lives, and fans say they’re “Intrigued.”
A relative newcomer on the beverage scene with their first soda launching in just 2021, Perfy just dropped possibly the most controversial soda flavor we’ve seen thus far: Pepperoni Pizza Flavored Soda. According to @markie_devo, the soda is said to taste like a slice of pizza (spoiler: it does) and only has 3 grams of sugar, 30 calories and seven ingredients total. The Instagrammer is teaming up with the brand to giveaway a tongue-in-cheek pizza box filled with four limited-edition sodas to one lucky fan who shares their true, unfettered thoughts on the flavor.

Surprisingly, most fans were on board with the wacky soda offering with one saying, “Well I like pizza and I like soda so I guess I would try it 😄” Another person likened the far out flavor to Jones Soda, a brand known for their similarly thought provoking flavors like Brussels sprouts and wild herb stuffing. Currently, the only way to get your hands on this limited edition release is by ordering through Perfy’s website—or you can toss your hat into the ring under Markie’s post for a shot at winning the giveaway yourself.
