Luke Combs warmed fans’ hearts with his earnest support for those affected by Hurricane Helene as he shared that he was working on a plan for “something really special” to help those in need.

“Absolutely heartbroken for everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene. Especially my folks in Western North Carolina,” the country singer shared on X. “Me and my team have been making some calls and I think we’ve got something really special lined up to help the Carolinas as much as we can. More details to come ASAP.”

Combs shared the message on Sept. 28, and as of writing, fans await more news from the star. 

Many fans reacted positively to Combs’ statement and praised the star, such as one who declared, “True American. Good job sir.”

“I absolutely love you, dude. If anyone does things for the right reasons and from the heart, it’s this guy. NC sure appreciates your heart,” said another, as someone else proclaimed that Combs had “a heart of gold.”

A third wrote, “You sir are a hero Thank you🇺🇸,” while more added, “Bless you for having such a big servant’s heart. Setting the example,” and “I had no doubt you would be working on something special to benefit those who have lost so much!”

As Combs hasn’t shared the details of his plan yet, some people shared suggestions of how he could help, with a repeated request for helicopters for rescue as well as water filters, food and more necessary items. 

Hurricane Helene reportedly made landfall in Florida on Thursday night as a Category 4 hurricane, It continued moving north through Georgia, touching North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The storm has since gone down in intensity and is expected to dissipate soon.
