Fans Say Kathie Lee Gifford’s ‘Energy Is Contagious’ as She Celebrates After ‘Miracle’ Recovery

Despite a series of debilitating medical setbacks over the last several months, Kathie Lee Gifford is back on her feet—and rocking the stage. 

The Today alum proved her vocal chops are still perfectly intact when she joined her favorite soul singer, Charles “Wigg” Walker, to celebrate the grand re-opening of Saffire, a restaurant located in Franklin, Tenn, sharing a photo from their performance together on Instagram earlier this week showing she and Walker, dressed in an eye-catching patterned suit, crooning into their own microphones.

For her part, Gifford wore a pair of trendy skinny jeans with distressed knees and an off-the-shoulder floral blouse. 

“I was so happy to sing again with my sweet friend WIGG WALKER AT THE BRAND NEW OPENING of SAFFIRE Restaurant at the factory in Franklin Tennessee,” she captioned the snapshot. “What a fabulous venue congratulations, [restaurateur] Tom Morales once again.”

Fans were thrilled to see her back in action, with one commenting, “How wonderful to see you out and sharing your talents ! Love you and how you inspire so many !”

“This brought me so much joy!!” another wrote, while a third celebrated, “You look great! 👏👏👏❤️.”

“So happy to see you singing and dancing again,” a fourth comment read. “Your energy is contagious and makes me and everyone so happy. Congratulations on the opening night event with your talented friend.”

Gifford underwent a total hip replacement over the summer, documenting her “painful” recovery for fans just a couple of weeks before she took a spill that led to a fractured pelvis, leaving her hurting even more—and making it even more of a “miracle” when she was finally, completely healed.
